As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS), Carri has clinical experience in assisting individuals who are struggling with issues such as mood disorders, anxiety, substance use/ addictive behaviors, trauma, grief/ bereavement, etc. Carri also works with those who are struggling to adjust to various life transitions, such as changes in the home/ family unit (those going through a divorce/ separation, becoming a first-time parent, or becoming an empty nester), changes in one’s career or employment status (those entering retirement, etc.). Carri is also experienced in supporting individuals who are living with a disability, whether it be physical or intellectual, and those living with the challenges of chronic pain. Carri is experienced in working with individuals from all walks of life and of all ages across the lifespan (children, adolescents, young adults, middle adulthood, and those in later stages of life).
Carri practices from a strengths based prospective and focuses on validating, empowering, and encouraging her clients while also providing a safe and non-judgmental form of support and accountability towards their identified goals. Carri uses an open and genuine approach to build trust and create a collaborative relationship with her clients to serve as the foundation of her work.
Carri is passionate about supporting clients in coping and healing from past traumas, disappointments, shame, and regrets. By helping her clients instill the practice of self-compassion, so that they can regain a healthy sense of self-worth, Carri guides her clients in finding the courage to seek acceptance. Instead of feeling held back from their pasts, they are encouraged to look ahead with hopefulness, self-confidence, and curiosity in curating a meaningful and fulfilling life that feels authentic and where growth is embraced and celebrated.
